Wayside Farm Shop

Our fresh produce has been either been made at Wayside, grown or sourced locally. We love making our delicious homemade jams, marmalade, chutney, pickles, pies, quiches, cakes and scones. There’s nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread or the convenience of our ‘Field Fare’ range of frozen scoop vegetables and fruit.

Gloagburn Farm Shop is owned and run by 3rd generation farmers Ian and Alison Niven. Lovingly prepared in my own "council certified" kitchen and packaged in new jars, customers can buy with confidence that every step has been taken to ensure they receive a quality safe product, yet made in the traditional "homegrown" method.

First started in 1962 Swinburn's Farm Shop has been part of the local community for generations. 'John in the Shop' as he is known to many has been there for over 30 years, serving customers with knowledge on various equine and small animal feeds, and also bringing fresh fruit and veg to the regulars. Taking on 2 expansions in its time the Farm Shop has seen many changes in customer shopping habits however have stuck to its principles of good quality at a reasonable price.

We are a small food producer based in the beautiful county of Cumbria, on the outskirts of the English Lake District. We love spending time in our kitchen developing new recipes and working with marvellous ingredients and flavours to make our award winning preserves.

Daylands Farm

We have a herd of suckler cows with their calves, a flock Charolais sheep and a few pigs. Silage and hay are grown to feed the cattle and sheep in winter, when they can’t graze in the fields, and we grow vegetables and flowers, to sell at the local farmers markets, along with seasonal goods like jams, jellies, syrups and Christmas trees!
