Since September 1999, when twenty nervous stallholders manned their pitches on the edge of the (now vanished) cattle market, Cirencester has been lucky to have a regular farmers' market.
On the 1st Saturday of each month (excluding January) Creake Abbey hosts its award winning market. 50+ stall holders come with fresh local produce including meat, fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers in season, cheeses, cakes, tartes (savoury and sweet), pies, fudge, artisan breads, pickles, rapeseed oil, vinegars, preserves, local ales, juices and plants plus much more. A number of exceptional pre-prepared dishes are on sale all made with local ingredients (and some exotic spices!).
Kelso, situated on the Tweed, with Floors Castle and a famous racecourse, has much to offer the visitor. The farmers’ market brings together up to fifteen local producers offering the best of the Borders from lamb and beef to vegetables and dairy products. Paxton House, outstation of the National Galleries for Scotland is also close by.
Ellon sits in rich agricultural land and is close to many visitor attractions including Haddo House built in 1732 and Pitmedden Garden. The market is held weekly at Neil Ross Square and offers top quality local food and produce from the surrounding area.
Arundel Farmers Market has a reputation as a friendly market offering an excellent range of high quality local produce. We normally only accept produce grown or reared within a 40-mile radius of Arundel and finished products (jams, cakes, etc.) must contain at least 10% of ingredients grown or reared within this radius.
At Swindon Outlet you will find around 20 stalls each week offering freshly baked bread and cake, seasonal produce, free range meats, local cheese, jams and a range of hot foods including hot dogs, bacon rolls, burgers and falafels.
Now completing its 16th year, Yalding Farmers' Market is a traditional Farmers' Market selling fresh local produce. Open on the third Saturday every month 9.30 am to 1.00 pm in the High Street.
