We started the popular outdoor pick your own in Horsforth in 1984 concentrating on growing strawberries and raspberries, with a number of varieties of each to enable as long a picking season as possible for our customers.

Is this your company?

We keep things simple growing the strawberries in the ground, rather than in raised beds. We find that not only do the strawberries taste better this way, but think it is more fun for the kids to pick them like this, as they can rummage amongst the leaves trying to find the biggest sweetest strawberry.

Raspberries have always been grown in the ground too, but we are also now trialling some in pots to see if we can reduce disease susceptibility which raspberries can be prone to.
