Organic fruit & veg is the core mainstay of Vegetropolis business, this is because - notwithstanding the obvious environmental benefits of Organic growing, I am happy to support Organic farming & having been involved with this Organic produce for a number of years now, I know it is of a consistently high standard.

Locavore’s Big Plan sets out our ambition to scale up what we do to launch a large social enterprise grocery store which offers a viable alternative to supermarkets. We want our new store to be the sort of place most people can do most of their grocery shopping so that we can increase our market share and use it to shape a food system which is better for society and our environment.

I began Simply - Veg in 2010 from a love of growing my own vegetables, and a passion for a simple business. I've always found limp looking vegetables in the supermarket sad and uninspiring, and greengrocers always seemed bad value for money. I fell in love with the idea of buying fresh market produce, and delivering veg boxes to customers the very same day. I began my first week with 5 customers in Vines Cross, Horam and Heathfield, and I have never looked back. Most of my business comes from word of mouth, as I offer a flexible reliable service to a maintained customer base in East Sussex and Kent.
Every week we run a chemical free vegetable box scheme with produce grown from our site in Margate with the addition of produce from local Organic Farmers.
We buy a weekly selection of fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit from small organic farms located as close to London as possible.
