Cliftonville Farmers' Market Makes a Successful Return
Cliftonville Farmers' Market in Kent made a successful return on Sunday 28th June with crowds turning out to see what stalls had on offer. Around 15 traders attended the event which is usually held monthly at The Oval on the Eastern Esplanade of Cliftonville. This was the first event in four months ever since the COVID 19 crisis began.
Several extra precautions were in place to ensure the event's success with hand sanitiser being available on entry and exit to the market. Also, social distancing was being carried out.
The Cliftonville Farmers Market was established in 2001 by the Cliftonville Residents Association. It is run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely, and it is self-funded. An easing of COVID restrictions meant that this and other outdoor markets were able to go ahead earlier this month.
