Kate Hardcastle partners with Farm Retail Association
Business and consumer expert Kate Hardcastle is working with the Farm Retail Association (FRA) to help UK farm shops enhance their retail offering. After seeing a surge in demand from people using farm shops to buy local produce during the lockdown, farmers are urging customers to continue to support local retailers as shoppers resume their regular routines and head back to the supermarkets.
Hardcastle and her team from Insight with Passion (IWP) will be supporting farm shops across the UK with a series of initiatives aimed at helping farmers to understand and adapt to changing consumer demands and promote and market their shops. The aim is to build on the 'shop local' ethos, which has seen an increase in the number of people using farm shops and farm retailers through the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ms Hardcastle and her team from Insight with Passion (IWP) will be supporting farm shops through their Access for All Programme which gives its time free of charge to help small businesses and community projects. Over the past decade, the scheme has supported over 1,000 projects.
