Pendeen and Penzance Farmers Markets Set to Reopen Again

Farmers' markets in Pendeen and Penzance are getting to reopen after a three-month forced closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. Pendeen Farmers' Market will be held in a new open-air location on Saturday, July 18, with Penzance Farmers' Market following on Friday, July 24. Both markets will be open from 10 am to 1 pm.

The Pendeen market will be held on a site at the top of Church Road, close to The Centre where it used to be held indoors. Pendeen's farmers market is known for its friendly atmosphere, and the organisers intend to keep it that way, even though there will be a one-way system to comply with social distancing. Hand sanitisers will be available, and a strict cleaning regime will also be in place. There will be signs throughout the area, directing shoppers to the new location.

Penzance Farmers' Market will take place outside St John's Hall in the centre of the town. Organisers say that reopening the markets is vital to help support local farmers whose incomes have been severely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.

Pendeen Farmers' Market will be open from 10 am to 1 pm on Saturday and, following this, it will be open on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

Penzance Farmers' Market will reopen from 10 am to 1 pm on July 24 and then every Friday.
