The Owton’s family history have been connected with Chalcroft farm where the butchers and farm shop is based, for over 400 years and has been associated with shops in the area since the 1800s. Specialising in locally sourced meat and produce. We have an extensive range of suppliers that supply beef, and pork including just two fields away.

Gibbet Oak Farm began by supplying the markets. Early in the morning, Dad would drive our produce to Borough Market (a far cry from what it is today). Some 20 years ago, we added a humble honesty box stall on the farm, where you could buy boxes of our fruit. It quickly built up a loyal local following, and grew into a fully-fledged farm shop. Now we supply our customers and many local businesses with home-grown seasonal fruit, including our famed asparagus, cherries, strawberries and raspberries, as well as apples and pears, and our award-winning juices.
