In the early days, we only sold our strawberries, raspberries and blackberries which are grown just yards from Barra Farm Shop, but now we stock a range of high quality Scottish produce and our delicious fruit ice-cream.

we are a local family, who started supplying & selling locally sourced produce at Car Boot Sales & Farmer's Markets in Carlisle & throughout the surrounding area. Such has been the demand for our produce that we opened our very successful Farm Shop at the Viaduct Est. to cope with the increased demand. However, due to the December Floods in 2015 we have now relocated to larger premises on the Denton Holme Trading Est.

We grow a wonderful range of apples from early varieties such as Collina and Delbar Estival at the end of August to late season apples into January such as Braeburn and Jazz. Fruit is stored in cold stores which allow the fruit to be picked at the optimum ripeness and sold in peak condition. For our farm shops, we can supply tree ripe Gloucestershire apples – a real bonus – often for an equivalent or lower price than supermarkets.

Working with the estate's farmers, they source vegetables, dairy and livestock from the 15,000 acre estate, in additional to sourcing from the estate's resident food producers.
