The Pimbleys are a family of farmers, growing and selling our own fruit and vegetables here on the Wirral since 1906. We champion local produce by putting our favourites in the farm shop and we celebrate it during our much-loved food and drink festivals. We reconnect children with their food, how it’s grown and what it tastes like through our Welly Walks and we open our fields for families to come pick their very own.
Location: Bebington, Merseyside
What distinguishes our Farm Shop from many other food shops (and there are a lot out there)? Most importantly we want to understand exactly where our food comes from. Provenance is key to us because we not only believe in food that tastes great but that is also local, sustainable and is good for our community, the environment and our customer’s health. But everyone talks about provenance, don’t they? And so we try to go an extra mile by really understanding precisely where all of our meat, vegetables and dairy products come from.
Location: Hawarden, Flintshire
It goes to the heart of what happens here at Park Farm. We take a traditional approach both to how we raise and graze our small herd of 160 mainly Holstein Friesian cows and to our artisan, handmade, hands-on cheesemaking.
Location: Bath, Somerset
Fresh local food and farmyard fun is all there waiting for you at Marton Manor Farm Shop in Flamborough Road, Sewerby. We have reopened after expanding into the old granary.
Location: Bridlington, East Yorkshire
The Quick family have farmed in Thurloxton, on the foothills of the Quantocks, for most of the last century, growing wheat, barley and oilseeds, and running a flock of sheep. In 1973 the Pick Your Own was started with the help of neighbouring farmer John Case, with one acre of strawberries. Since then it has grown to meet increasing demand and we now produce a wide range of fruit and vegetables on 25 acres of rich, red, soil.
Location: Taunton, Somerset
Our lovely British Toggenburg goats produce deliciously creamy milk which is ideal for cheese making. Sarah has been developing a range of cheeses as well as the bottled Whole milk and a lovely strained Greek style plain yoghurt.
