Pearce's Farm Shop
The Pearce family have farmed in the Puckeridge area for 45 years and we now have two generations –David, Andrew and Ed, working on the farm which is a hive of activity all year round. We have a mixed farm of arable, horticultural and traditional breeds of cattle that can often be seen roaming in the fields by the Shop and Café. The cattle are grass fed during the spring, summer and autumn months and during the colder winter months are kept in a warm barn and fed on farm grown hay.

He began the conversion to organic status under the auspices of the Soil Association with the idea of starting a local vegetable box scheme.

Growing With Grace provides local communities with fresh, locally grown organic foods. Growing With Grace has been growing and supplying organic vegetables for over 10 years. We provide weekly Organic Veg Boxes & Grocery Deliveries to Lancaster and surrounding areas, South Cumbria, Skipton, the Yorkshire Dales, Ilkley and Otley. Nightingale Farm Shop
Gibbet Oak Farm began by supplying the markets. Early in the morning, Dad would drive our produce to Borough Market (a far cry from what it is today). Some 20 years ago, we added a humble honesty box stall on the farm, where you could buy boxes of our fruit. It quickly built up a loyal local following, and grew into a fully-fledged farm shop. Now we supply our customers and many local businesses with home-grown seasonal fruit, including our famed asparagus, cherries, strawberries and raspberries, as well as apples and pears, and our award-winning juices.
