The meat is additive free, from stock that is mainly grass fed and no hormones or unnecessary drugs of any description are used.

A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. Franklins farm shop was opened at Trumpetons Farm, Thorncote Green in October 2003. It was born from the ever increasing requests from local people who were concerned about where their food comes from and the conditions the live animals are kept in. Many consumers are today increasingly discerning and many wish to buy direct from the producer to maximise quality and flavour.

Hallsford Farm Produce
We supply top quality Shorthorn Beef, Llanwenog Lamb and Rare Breed Pork from traditional breeds suited to their environment. Our production is not forced and as a result the product has real flavour. Our beef is hung for a minimum of three weeks and our lamb for 5 days. All our meat is skilfully cut and presented before being vacuum packed and labelled prior to dispatch.

Five Winds Farm Smokehouse & Butchery
In 1996 the retail shop was opened at Melton Station, near Woodbridge, Suffolk. A mile away from the farm. We started selling our smoked products and a wide range of traditionally produced and butchered meat, poultry and game, sourced from local farms.
