The Butts Farm Shop is situated within The Butts Farm. They farm rare and traditional breeds of cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and poultry. The Farm is open to the public from February to October and attracts some 10,000 visitors per year. Balnafettach Farm
A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. Order via a downloadable form from their website - boxes offer a 15% discount on individual prices, or visit the farm shop.

The Balloon Tree takes its name from an ancient horse chestnut tree that stood at the Buttercrambe turning, down the road.
