Balnafettach Farm
A family-run farm situated just outside Cromdale within the Cairngorms National Park, the Cassells farm one of Scotlands oldest native breeds, pure Highland Cattle, and a small flock of sheep - a mixture of pure Jacobs and Texel X. They also have free-roaming chickens, and occasionally rear rare breed pigs from weaners, which they turn into bacon themselves using traditional methods. Working recently with an on-farm butcher, they offer seasonal wild game, shot on the farm and locally, as well as mutton. Ludlow Farmshop
Ludlow Farmshop, the new name for Ludlow Food Centre. One of the challenges that we have here is communicating the scope of who we are and what we do. The previous Food Centre was born out of the idea to create a shop in which to sell the array of produce from our farms and land which extend to some 8,000 acres surrounding the shop. In order for us to go back to our roots we felt that Farmshop better described who we are and what we do. We produce over half of the products we sell on site, and this hasn’t changed. In fact, what we have looked to do is open more windows into the production areas so that you can see your food being made.

Pitney Farm Shop
Our farm is called Glebe Farm. We farm 90 acres of organic mixed livestock and arable land. Also, in summer our animals graze on 40 acres of lush pasture on the Somerset Levels. It has been farmed by the Walrond family for over 200 years with three generations involved on the farm today. We converted the farm to organic production in 1999 and have been farming organically ever since. We are licensed growers and processors with the Soil Association.
