Hilltop Farm

Our wide range includes everything from your everyday essentials (turned just a little bit special) to gourmet fine foods. From free-range eggs and locally grown fruit and veg to our great selection of English cheeses or our legendary pork pies.

Pitney Farm Shop

Our farm is called Glebe Farm. We farm 90 acres of organic mixed livestock and arable land. Also, in summer our animals graze on 40 acres of lush pasture on the Somerset Levels. It has been farmed by the Walrond family for over 200 years with three generations involved on the farm today. We converted the farm to organic production in 1999 and have been farming organically ever since. We are licensed growers and processors with the Soil Association.

Their son, Cyril and his wife Dorothy developed the Business growing potatoes as well as milking cows and selling free range eggs at the farm gate.

We are a family business and working farm and take particular care in how we rear our animals. Being registered Farm Assured, our customer has the confidence to buy quality, which comes with its own guarantee. Our animals are fed mainly a grass diet, common in North Ayrshire due to the mild climate. This helps produce excellent growing conditions and enhances the flavour of our meat. All our meat is matured for 21 days ensuring optimum taste and quality. We are member of the Scottish butchers club.
