Friday Street Farm Shop

Friday Street Farm Shop

Owned and farmed by the Blyth family for three generations, Friday Street Farm Shop has been serving the local community since 1976, when the farm shop first started selling a small amount of seasonal produce. Now it has grown into a bustling epicentre of rural life with an expanded Farm Shop and Butchery, a popular Kitchen serving wholesome food every day of the week and a permanent on site Fishmonger. Seasonally, we have Pick Your Own (P.Y.O) soft fruit. We only select the finest locally sourced produce to retail in the farm shop for your enjoyment at home. We welcome you to browse our store.

Hammerton Store

Hammerton Store

This is Aberdeen's version of the kind of all-round general food store that is as much influenced by farm shops and old fashioned provision merchants as it is by specialist continental delis. Owner Susan Watson has ensured that the bedrock of the shop is in local and organic fruit and veg, alongside meats and bakery. Then there are the extras which not only extend the range but also emphasise the values of the place: wine and real ale, cook books, ceramics and art on the walls.

Before long a fully fledged farm shop was well stocked and selling a range of local produce, from the estate's renowned venison, beef and heather honey to artisan cheeses, wines and beers, locally handmade truffles, pies and pates, and a unique range of jams and preserves. The Druie Restaurant & Cafe, taking its name from the sparkling burn carrying mountain water from the Cairngorms down to the River Spey, is open daily serving breakfasts, lunches, locally roasted coffee and homemade cakes.

Hawarden Estate Farm Shop

Hawarden Estate Farm Shop

What distinguishes our Farm Shop from many other food shops (and there are a lot out there)? Most importantly we want to understand exactly where our food comes from. Provenance is key to us because we not only believe in food that tastes great but that is also local, sustainable and is good for our community, the environment and our customer’s health. But everyone talks about provenance, don’t they? And so we try to go an extra mile by really understanding precisely where all of our meat, vegetables and dairy products come from.
