Ashurst Organics veg box scheme started in 1994 as a Community Supported venture organised by Common Cause Co-operative - a social enterprise based in Lewes, East Sussex.

Barcombe Nurseries
In 1997, Adrian Halstead, always a keen allotment gardener, took a leap of faith and bought the nursery in rural Barcombe, four miles west of Lewes and twelve miles north of Brighton. He began the conversion to organic status under the auspices of the Soil Association with the idea of starting a local vegetable box scheme.

Falkland Kitchen Farm is a 5 acre organic market garden nestled at the base of the Lomond Hills in Fife. We grow over 70 varieties of fruit, veg and herbs which we sell to local retailers, restaurants and through our veg box scheme. We believe that small scale farming has huge potential to produce fresh and healthy food whilst also enriching our natural environment.

Northdown Orchard is a small organic family farm of just 12 acres. We grow and harvest a wide range of salads, herbs and vegetables all year round in our fields and greenhouses. All fresh produce is harvested, packed and delivered on the same day – only possible with small grower-operated box deliveries.

Mains of Leask Vegetables
Here at Mains of Leask we grow a wide range of vegetable which vary by the season. At the start of the season, from late July to late September, salad crops and brassicas dominate. Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, peas, spinach, chard, beetroot, cauliflower and broccoli, amongst others.
